Privacy Policy — Reversi

This Privacy Policy explains how the Reversi mobile application ("the App", "we", "us", or "our"), published by Morningside, handles information when you use it. We have designed Reversi to be a simple, offline-friendly board game that collects as little data as possible.

Summary

Reversi has no user accounts and asks for no personal information.
We do not collect, store, or sell any personally identifiable information ourselves.
The App displays ads through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service that may collect limited device and usage information to serve and measure ads.
All game data (your current game, settings, and number of games played) stays on your device.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

None. Reversi does not ask you to register, sign in, or submit any personal details.

1.2 Information stored only on your device

The App stores a small amount of non-personal data locally on your device using standard iOS storage, including:

Your in-progress game state and game settings (difficulty, hints).
A counter of how many games you have completed (used only to decide when to ask whether you'd like to rate the App).

This information never leaves your device and is removed when you delete the App.

1.3 Information collected by advertising (Google AdMob)

Reversi shows interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob. To serve and measure these ads, Google and its partners may automatically collect certain information, which can include:

Device identifiers (such as advertising identifiers).
Approximate, non-precise location derived from your IP address.
Device type, operating system, and general usage/diagnostic information.
Ad interaction data (such as whether an ad was viewed or tapped).

This collection is performed by Google, not by us, and is governed by Google's policies:

Depending on your region, you may be shown a consent prompt (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are served, and you can choose non-personalized ads where required by law.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited, locally stored information described above solely to:

Run the game and remember your settings.
Decide an appropriate moment to invite you to rate the App.

We do not use it for profiling, marketing, or any purpose beyond operating the App. Advertising data is used by Google to deliver and measure ads as described in Google's policies.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share personal information. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, for the purpose of displaying advertising as described above. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law.

4. Your Choices and Rights

Limit ad tracking: On iOS you can control app tracking and your advertising identifier under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking and Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
Consent (EEA/UK): Where applicable, you can change your advertising consent choices through the in-app consent prompt.
Access / deletion: Because we do not hold any personal data about you on our servers, there is nothing for us to access or delete on your behalf. Removing all locally stored data is as simple as deleting the App.
Regional rights: Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights regarding data processed by Google; please refer to Google's policies linked above.

5. Children's Privacy

Reversi is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the advertising service, please contact us so we can help address it.

6. Data Security

We do not operate servers that store your personal data. Information transmitted by the advertising service is handled by Google using its own security measures. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. International Users

The advertising service may process data in countries other than your own. By using the App you understand that such processing, carried out by Google, may occur as described in Google's policies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and post the new version at this URL. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
